Critique of the film “The Smurfs”: the Smurfs in Rihanna sauce (and it works!)

When the Smurfette has the voice of Rihanna in an original version and the singer is also a producer of the animated feature film directed by Chris Miller, in addition to signing the theme song, we have fun without complex.

One would have thought that the Smurfs could not be renewed. Meanwhile, that the classic drawn by Peyo did not need to be worn again on the big screen and that the blue characters, loved by all, would not be improved by yet another restyling (makeover) on the big screen. Furthermore, We would have been wrong.

With Friend of Minethe new catchy song written. composed and interpreted by Rihanna specially for the film (the star grew up with the cartoons of the Smurfs in her native barbados), the film Smurfs Opens up on a joyful and fun dancing number presenting us the most important characters in this new adventure.

Obviously. the Smurmpfette holds the top of the pavement, because it is she who will lead to the rest of the inhabitants of the village in search of the large Smurmpf removed by Razamel (voice of John Paul Karliak in the original version), the brother of the always nasty Gargamel (of which Karliak also ensures dubbing in original version). The pets of the cartoon will find the nameless Smurf (voice of critique film “the smurfs”: smurfs James Corden) and its existential questions.

But the best gags are undoubtedly those of the Smurf “sound special effects” which provides us with the hilarious. relevant sound effects of the incredible situations in which the characters find themselves. We also glean. here and there, jokes for adults, especially on the fact that the music of the Smurfs is very tiring or that one of the new Smurfs has very long hair.

At 92 minutes. the film Smurfs benefits from a modern scenario by Pam Brady, a critique film “the smurfs”: smurfs distractioning achievement by Chris Miller and the undeniable and refreshing contribution from Rihanna. No doubt, there will be another … As long as the box office dollars are there.
