The European Championships of beach-volley Start on Wednesday in Düsseldorf. Therefore, Switzerland will be represented by five newly formed pairs and can hope to win medals.
Since 2018, Switzerland has only missed the European podium for women once. With Nina Brunner, she reached the final four times and won gold twice.
Hüberli now has a new partner, Leona Kernen, almost thirteen years younger. beach volleyball: new swiss duos The two athletes quickly got along and have already won several successes on the circuit. Recently. they reached the small final of the GSTAAD tournament, which they lost against their compatriots Anouk and Zoé Vergé-Dépré.

The last male European medal dates back to 2006, won by Patrick Heuscher and Stefan Kobel (Bronze).
