Banned by the new competition: Standard will lend a young talent to Challenger Pro League – The Latest Transfers

Banned by the new competition which is established on the edge of the Meuse, Yann Gboua will leave the standard on loan without option to buy. It is the SK Lierse, in Challenger Pro League, which is about to welcome it.

Described as the fastest player in the Standard Academy and one of his biggest talents, Yann Gboua entered the plans of Marc Wilmots and Mircea Rednic to obtain a real place in the A nucleus A, at the start of the preparation.

The new sports director, who wishes to trust young players and not just launching them “when there is no choice”, estimated again during the internship at Touquet that René Mitongo, Yann Gboua and Bradley Nam James would be the first replacements of Thomas Henry and Dennis Ayensa on the offensive front of the Rouches.

Yann Gboua loaned by Standard to Lierse

Since then, the arrival of Timothé Nkada has been becoming clearer, and the possibilities of playing time are still reduced for the three young talents of the SL16. One of them will temporarily leave the Liège club to find playing time.

According to our information, it is Yann Gboua (17 years old), still under contract until 2027 with the Rouches, who will temporarily leave the standard. The young attacker will be loaned, without option to buy, to SK LIERSE, in Challenger Pro League.

After Tom Poitoux, not resumed during the summer internship and who went on loan to the MVV Maastricht – where he suffered a tear in the Achilles tendon – Yann Gboua becomes the second young player loaned without option to buy by the standard this summer.
