This Friday, August 1, the almost full tempera arenas hosted the penultimate concert of the 26th edition of the Chantant madmen. Zazie, an artist in the spotlight this year, joined a thousand amateur choristers on stage from all over France in order to interpret some scores from his repertoire. A generous evening in the spirit of the festival which celebrates the outstanding voices and careers of French song each year.

This year, the crazy singing invites Zazie, who joined the 1,049 amateur choristers this evening on stage, gathered for several months, then for a week at Fort Vauban, to repeat and prepare this musical meeting. An exceptional meeting between an important artist from the French scene and a giant choir, faithful to the very essence of the Alasian festival.
Open choir
The show begins with the flight of a hot air balloon which takes a dancer above the audience, while giant balloons circulate among the crowd. During this time, the choristers joined the scene. And then Zazie discreetly between the introduction and the first title, everyone, whom she immediately interpreted with the choristers.

It then leaves room for the troop, which links the titles in a fluid dynamic: Toc toc toc, one point, it is you, I send waltz, or even Jacques said, while the choirors follow one another without breaking. The show lives, is transformed, and Zazie returns to sing for me with the choristers after the first verse, then dance again with a stool shared with Reynald, a chorus.

Everything is timed, orchestrated, but Zazie cannot contain his emotion or his joy to share this moment. The children then joined the scene for civic weapons, then the junior choristers for the Medley at the Earth. Choir leaders take turns for a medley from A to Ziz where everyone takes part in management. Then comes Rodeo, which Zazie interprets with an entrance from the interior courtyard, echoing with the singing choir “is the void not paradise”.
With I am a man and also rue de la Paix, Zazie touches the choir, before giving way in the end, which we will not tell since this Saturday evening, the show will be replayed.

From the first notes, the voices merge into a single, powerful and sensitive. The scenography remains sober, but thought in detail, lights of light centered on emotions, a well -oiled mechanics at the service of song. And Zazie, generous, present, carried by this collective energy, seemed deeply affected during the concert.
