How do water pants arise? – Water pants – it whirled
Water pants are water pants – it whirled basically a tornado over a water surface. In order for such a vortex trunk to form. three essential ingredients are required:
- a warm water surface
- Cold air in height
- weak or differently directed winds
This combination leads to an unstable atmosphere, also called “unstable”. The greater the temperature difference between the warm air on the ground. the cold air is high, the more the warm air rises. It condenses and a cloud forms.
If such a cloud pulls over a warm body of water. additional moist air is sucked in from below and reinforces the upswing. If there is a slight wind shear at the same time, i.e. a change in the wind direction or speed with the height, a rotation can develop in the rising air.
The swing is stretched to the height and thus reinforced. Finally, the water vapor condenses water pants – it whirled into a visible tube – the water pants arises. It can often be seen on its base, which gives the impression that water is “sucked in”.
