Bad Wolves crosses a new upheaval: according to Tommy Vext, the group is currently reforming around drummer John Boecklin with fully unprecedented training.
Reformation in preparation according to Tommy Vext
In an exchange with a fan on Instagram, relayed by The PRPex-singer Tommy Vext gave unexpected news from Bad Wolves. He said that all current members had left the group, including singer Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz, and that John Boecklin was working to rebuild training with “new members” for the third time.
Vext also revealed that he had returned to Boecklin last March and that he is currently collaborating with Chris Cain, guitarist returned within the group earlier this year. He said he did not want to link with ex-bassist Kyle Konkiel and that Doc Coyle, historic guitarist, did not want to reconcile despite his attempts.
A context marked by repeated changes
This twist comes only a few months after the departures of Doc Coyle and Kyle Konkiel, replaced respectively by Chris Cain and Kevin Creekman, as we had reported in this article. More recently, Daniel “DL” Laskiewicz was seen in the bass with Falling In Reverse, a change documented here, strengthening questions about his future within Bad Wolves.
The group, a multi-plain certified, has already gone through several major reshuffles since its separation with VEXT in 2021, marked by public tensions and legal proceedings. Despite these turbulence, he continued his career with the release of Die About It In 2023, followed recently of a Deluxe edition comprising nine bonus titles, as detailed in this article.
An uncertain but hopeful future
If Tommy Vext did not specify the identity of the musicians called to join Boecklin, his statements confirm that Bad Wolves is about to start a new chapter. It remains to be seen whether this umpteenth reformation will allow the group to regain the stability and the creative momentum that had marked its beginnings with successes like Zombie, Hear Me Now or Remember When.
