Created by Noah Hawley (to whom we owe the series Fargo), this series in eight episodes is part of a universe of science fiction familiar with moviegoers: that ofAliens. After the films of renowned directors Ridley Scott, James Cameron, David Fincher, Jean-Pierre Jeunet and the last signed Fedé Alvarez in 2024 (Alien : Romulus), make way for the series Alien : Earth. And be careful! If this fiction is released in 2025, it is not a sequel but … a prequel!
Alien : Earth Takes up two years before the events of the first film in the franchise, released in 1979. The intrigue begins in 2120, while a spacecraft crashed on earth. Faced with this mystery, a team composed mainly of soldiers, but also of a young woman, decides to venture inside … and discovers the greatest threat to which the planet had to face.
After Sigourney Weaver, Noomi Rapace, Katherine Waterston and Cailee Spaeny, it is the American actress Sydney Chandler who embodies the heroine of this new series. Daughter of actor Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, King Kong) and Kathryn Macquarrie, this 29 -year -old actress is known for her roles in the film Don’t worry darling and the series Pistol. Here she gives the reply to Timothy Olyphant (Scream 2, Deadwood), Alex Lawther (The End of the F***ing World), Essie Davis (Matrix Reloaded et Revolutions) or David Rysdahl (Sans issue, Fargo). If these are newcomers to the universe ofAlienRidley Scott is back with the executive producer cap.
Alien Earth is therefore one of the most anticipated series of the summer, and the big event of this week. The broadcast begins on the American channel FX with the first episode. Its online posted has been in France since August 13, 2025 on Disney+. At the rate of one episode per week, the final of the series will be to be discovered on September 23.
