Barely three months after Adil Rami’s victory, “the traitors” are already coming back for a fifth season which promises to be more ruthless than ever. Eclectic casting, unpublished rules, mystery around new masked players … M6 intends to surprise its faithful.
What date will season 5 be broadcast?
Fans will not have long to wait: season 5 of “the traitors”, still presented by Éric Antoine, will be launched the Tuesday September 2, 2025 at 9:10 p.m. On M6. An edition shot, like the previous ones, at the neogothic castle of Bournel, in the Doubs.
What personalities are in the casting?
The production brought together 16 personalities from a very varied universes: Marlène Schiappa (former secretary of state) and her best friend Anaïs Lunet. Anne-Elisabeth Blateau (“Household scenes”), Fabienne Carat (“Plus belle la vie”), Théo Fernandez (“Les Tuche”), Helena Noguerra (“New Day”), Christine Bravo, Tania Dutel (Jamel Comedy Club), Strearmeur Fouriaby, Influencer Marcus, singer Yanns (“Clic click Pan”), Camille Cerf (Miss France 2015), the mentalist Fabien Olicard, the writer Olivier Bal (author of “Les Limboes”), and finally Raymond Domenech (ex-selection of the French team).
What are the new features of this edition?
This time, the designation of the traitors will be done according to an unprecedented process, supposed to destabilize the candidates from the start. Three masked players will also appear, with mysterious identities and roles that could upset the game. M6 also promises more intense events and an even more cynical staging orchestrated by Éric Antoine, with “Unpublished rules“, “unpredictable reversals“, et “Terrifying games“Objective announced: to push the traitors and the loyals to surpass themselves … and perhaps put an end to the hegemony of the traitors, undefeated since the creation of the program in 2022.
Why was the second part of the evening deleted?
This year, “the traitors: revelations about the continuation” will not come back. Usually led by Juju Fitcats, this Off program proposed debriefs, unpublished images and debates between former and current candidates. According to the host, M6 has chosen to focus on the main season: “For the first time, there will be two seasons the same year“She explains, suggesting that a possible return could take place in a special” All Stars “edition.

What audiences for season 4?
Despite the triumph of Adil Rami, who pocketed 44,000 euros for his association, season 4 has recorded the lowest audiences since the launch of the program. Last summer, from August 15 to September 27, 2024, season 3 captivated 1.86 million viewers (10.6% of the public) in the first part of the evening then 1.70 million fans (12.5% of PDA) in the second part of the issue. On the priority target, “the traitors” 2024 had recorded an impressive 27.8% of PDA.
Almost two years ago, from July 12 to August 9, 2023, season 2 of the “traitors” attracted, on average and in audience monitoring, 1.99 million viewers according to Médiamétrie, or 12.5% audience share on the whole of the public aged four and over and 30% of market share on women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty (FRDA-50)
A year earlier, scheduled from August 17 to 31, 2022, the six episodes of the first season of the “traitors” had been followed, on average and in audience watches, by 2.10 million viewers, or 12.8% of the public and 32.4% of women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty (FRDA-50).
