A conquered audience

The critical reception of “Kpop Demon Hunters” was greatly positive. The film obtained a score of 97% of favorable opinions on Rotten Tomatoes, the press highlighting “a catchy animation, vibrant colors, a joyful family entertainment with an excellent soundtrack as a bonus”. David Tizzard of The Korea Times described him as “remarkably good”, praising his representation of Korean culture and describing it as a “love letter to K-Pop”. He also pointed out that music is “produced by real heavyweights from industry”, that it is “imbued with lyrical nuances and fits perfectly with the story”. Despite its short duration and a slightly too simple outcome, Kpop Demon Hunters was able to charm by its originality and its realization. Faced with such a craze, Netflix is already considering two additional films to form a trilogy as well as a television series, a short film and an adaptation in musical.
