The United Kingdom has never missed new exciting groups, rock having long been digested there and reinvented in original forms. As such, the Londoners of the Black Country group, New Road hold the top of the pavement.
However, the group had to take a blow two years ago, with the departure of their main singer for mental health reasons. The decision to continue the adventure was taken quickly. “”Frankly we quickly knew that it was inevitable that we would make a new album. We never really hesitated. We just wanted to continue working together“Explains Charlie Wayne, drummer of the group.
So they released a third album at the start of the year, Forever Howlonglike a rebirth, by pushing their musical explorations even further with a big difference: Black Country New Road is now carried by three female vocalists: Tyler, Hyde, Georgia Ellery and May Kershaw.
This new composition strengthens the group’s cohesion. The six friends always bring as many different influences that complement each other. “We spend a lot of time on each title, it takes a lot of rehearsals together, whether in live or in the studio, Relates Lewis Evans, vocalist and saxophonist. We want above all that they correspond to what we want. There is a lot of influences in the group, it is something that we cherish because that is what gives us a sound apart and differentiates us from the others “.
