The future film, expected in the dark rooms in March 2026 and which promises project hail mary: before star to be one of the SF events of next year, is adapted from the novel by the author Andy Weir and promises to be a mixture of genres, against a background for the survival of humanity.

Project Hail Mary is the latest novel of the author Andy Weir (titled Last Chance Project in VF). Furthermore, to whom we owe Alone on Marchalso adapted to the cinema in 2015 by Ridley Scott and Matt Damon, according to a script by Drew Goddard.
Goddard is justmenet to the pen of this future Project Hail Marywhich is produced by the duo Phil Lord. Meanwhile, Christopher Miller, already in charge of the acclaim Spider-Man : New Generation.

In the casting. we find Ryan Gosling (Barbie, The Fall Guy) In the guise project hail mary: before star of Ryland Grace, a science teacher who is sent to space to save humanity from a cataclysmic disaster. During his journey, he will then meet an alien who also seeks to save his species.
This is not the first time that Gosling has played astronauts since he has already played Neil Armstrong. in First ManDamien Chazelle’s biopic released in 2018. In Project Hail Marythe latter will respond to Sandra Hüller (Anatomy of a fall). Lioney Boyce (The Bear) or Ken Leung (Avatar: the last airliner).

On the backstage. the film can count on the expert eye and the talent of the director of photography Greig Fraser (The Batman, Dune). Produced by Amazon MGM Studios. the film does not yet have a release date set in France but is expected across the Atlantic on March 20, 2026.
