The integrity of the competition requires that all matches be held under the same conditions for all teams. Unilaterally modify this regime breaks equality between contestantscompromises the legitimacy of the results and feels an unacceptable precedent that opens the door to the exceptions based on interests outside the strictly sports, with clear condition to sports integrity and risk of adulteration of the competition. If this proposal was carried out, its consequences would be of such gravity, that they would mean a before and after for the world of football.
Any modification of this nature must have, in any case, with the express and unanimous agreement of all the clubs participating in the competition, in addition to strictly respecting the national and international norms that regulate the organization of official competitions.
In defense of this principle, Real Madrid has already carried out Three concrete actions:
1. FIFA request So that, as guarantor of the international football rules, he does not authorize the celebration of the meeting without the prior consent of all the clubs participating in the competition.
2. UEFA request So that, as guarantor of the integrity of European competitions and normative coherence with FIFA, the RFEF is urged to withdraw or denied the application, reaffirming the criteria established in 2018 that prevents the official parties of domestic competitions from playing outside the national territory of domestic competitions, except for duly justified exceptional circumstances, which do not concur here.
3. Request to the Higher Sports Council so that the necessary administrative authorization does not grant without such unanimous consent.
