His first novel opened the door of an inspiration that the author lets speak again with his heroines inspired by Condomoise life.
The old postcards that he collects with passion have not only aroused the interest of Alain Rançon for historical facts. Admittedly, they were the support of his first two works which, like family albums, relayed in image local life, in Condom and throughout Armagnac, from the second half of the 19th century to the 1960s.
They also led him to meet a look, that of a young woman illustrating a greeting card. He will make him a heroine, the main character of her first novel, “La Belle Pirate”, published two years ago. His new fiction, “a exposure”, is the consequence of the first.

“I couldn’t leave these characters. These two women, Henriette and her friend Claudia, marked me to the point that I wanted to continue with them. Suddenly, I wrote this second novel, ”defends the author. If this new opus does not claim to have read the first, the readers of “La Belle Pirate” will find these two Condomous friends who sealed their destinies on the benches of the Notre-Dame de Piétat school and makes the city the framework of the awakening of their vocations. The adventurer Claudia is no longer, but her career, her correspondence, her little daughter Tracy will accompany Henriette in her search for who was really this mysterious friend, this adventurer, this elusive woman.
“I chose to come back to the story of this friendship with a new point of view. Henriette investigates the hidden faces of her friend, her secret; And everything is explained, ”announces, mysterious, Alain Rançon. We are now in the 1970s and, again, the author makes his heroines women of their time.
“I am haunted by these characters to the point of already being on a third part and feeling unable to write something else,” recognizes the writer who sails between the exhilarating phases of inspiration where he writes “in ease”, and “hell” of rereading.
So many steps that he will talk about with readers during the dedication he offers, Saturday July 5 from 3.30 pm, to the “bis” of all on stage, rue des Carmes.
