Each year, dozens of people lose their lives by canyoning in the United States rivers. Ryan Wardwell was very lucky. The 46 -year -old man, originally from Long Beach in California, spent two days suspended behind a cascade of the National Forest of Sequoia from Sierra Nevada before being rescued by helicopter, reports the American channel NBC News (new window).
On August 10, the Californian went to Seven Teacups water falls with other climbers. Once there, everyone turned around after judging that the reminder would be too dangerous. But not him. During the descent, he lost his recall strings and found himself blocked behind the waterfall. Without news of him, Ryan Wardwell’s family contacted the police the next morning to report his disappearance.
