An ex-psycho-educator and author of around thirty books received a three-month radiation for having suggested two customers from their first consultations to “masturbate” or to multiply “lovers”.
“You do not weigh 400 pounds and you have no pimples full of your face. You can have the man you want, ”said Louis-Georges Disaulniers to a client who notably consulted for a stress problem.
This is one of the examples of the inadequate sexual words reported in a decision of the disciplinary council of the Order of Psychoeducators and Psychoeducators of Quebec dated June 9.
Prolific author
Louis-Georges Disaulniers was an experienced psychoeducator during the facts that he was accused.
He is also the author of at least thirty books on a panoply of subjects relating to psychology and well-being, including several on stress, romantic relationships or sexuality.
In the fall of 2022, the Gatineau psychoeducator offered consultation services as part of an employee assistance program.

It is in this context that two different customers were faced with the professional’s moved suggestions, when they were in their first or second session with him.
“You feel your fingers”
“It’s like when you masturbate and that after you feel your fingers and you say, hum that they are good these little fingers,” we read in the decision of the council.
He also advised her “to have several lovers, whether married or not”.
Shortly after, the client fell on work stoppages and contacted the police, it is said.
No “soft clothes”
At the second client, who consulted for challenges of depression, anxiety and mourning, he also suggested masturbating and multiplying adventures.
Mr. Disaulniers advised him to “make himself beautiful”, to “make up” and not to wear “soft clothes” “one day a week”, opinions that are more of his personal tastes than an adequate assessment of the situation, reproach the decision.
He also omitted to assess the suicidal risk of the client, when she said “think almost every day that she would be better dead”.
In the two files, the council also criticizes him for breaches in his file outfit, including his “illegible notes”.
Louis-Georges Disaulniers pleaded guilty to all complaint chiefs. He was no longer a member of the Order at that time.
The ex-psycho-educator was sentenced to a three-month radiation, which should be purged to be re-registered to order. He would then have to follow several supervised training and courses.
He was also ordered to pay a total fine of $ 7,500.
