Enjoy a summer evening in the park with a fun, family oriented movie. However, Bring your blankets, pajamas and snacks to watch a movie under the stars! Los Alamos Lights for Peace – Thursday August 7th. 7:00pm-9:00pm @ Ashley Pond Park
Visitors are encouraged to join the Manhattan Project National Historical Park for a somber quiet luminaria (farolitos) viewing at Ashley Pond Park. This introspective experience focuses on providing visitors the opportunity to walk the lighted path in silence. have their own reflective experience based on their personal reasons for participating. More Commemoration Events: For those who are unable to attend the August event in person. a virtual bell ringing is available from 6 a.m. EDT on August 6 through midnight PDT on August 9. As part of the Days of Peace. Remembrance, the park happening this week los alamos solicits Messages of Peace from the public in advance of the August commemoration events. Los Alamos Summer Concert Series Presents: BLACK PEARL BAND – Friday August 8th. 6:00pm-9:00pm @ Ashley Pond Park
UNM-Los Alamos is bringing The Black Pearl Band, NM Hispano Band of the Year, to Ashley Pond Park on August 8th for Nuevo Mexico Night! The Black Pearl Band is a New Mexico variety (horn-driven) band performing R&B. Old School, Top 40, Country, Rancheras, Cumbias, and Waltz. The band is composed of 9 musicians We are excited about this concert. as Nuevo Mexico Night has been one of our best-attended events for the last several years, and we expect this year to be no exception! Bring out your NM flags and cool cars of any era. The show starts at 6:00 p.m. and is happening this week los alamos free! The Los Alamos Summer Concert Series is a non-ticketed. family friendly, FREE community concert series, complete with food court, games, and beer garden.
Los Alamos Arts Council: 2025 Summer Arts. Crafts Fair – Saturday August 9th, 9:00am-3:00pm @ Fuller Lodge Lawn
The Los Alamos Arts Council’s Arts and Crafts Fair is free for visitors and fun for all ages. Nestled on the lawn east of historic Fuller Lodge. this craft fair hosted by the Los Alamos Arts Council is a perfect excuse to visit Los Alamos and to partake in the rich arts and cultural district located downtown. Los Alamos Arts Council Summer Craft Fair is open to all artisans and crafters in and around Northern New Mexico. For over 40 years vendors have enjoyed the beauty of the outdoor venue.
