Who are you Raphaël Daubet?

I don’t really know who I am. I often feel a man of action and sometimes a contemplative. I am sure I deeply love Quercy. to be interested in it, to feel close to the peasant world, of nature too. The roots interest me deeply. Without doubt the imprint of my parents, who both suffered from the uprooting. I made the choice to live and act in the heart of this Lot Terre.

Why did you want to write this work?

I have always wanted to write since the age of 6. I grew up in a family of literary people, where books have an essential place. When I was a student, I had the chance to publish my first texts. Since then, I have never stopped writing sporadically.

How did you choose the different themes of your stories: gramat. “old country”, raphaël daubet wild, alchemy, darkness, resurgences, upstream …?

These stories are very simple, almost insignificant anecdotes, but which I lived and which moved me a lot. One next to the others. they form a kind of assembly, a gallery of paintings that depict, I believe, an old country, the Quercy of course, but which could be any province of our old France. Neither the places nor the characters are named. These are like ghosts who live in a world where nature and the past are omnipresent. All this has a symbolic significance.
