In the second part of this opening evening, Zaef, public prize 2024, handles the words with precision before entering them, creating a humor at the same time black, poetic and political, a reflection of his experience. His performance transforms his daily experiences into moments of laughter with reflection. His energy, nourished by his atypical journey, makes Zaef an outstanding storyteller.
Laughter and emotions during each show
On Wednesday, it was Anne Gilibert who delighted the Villeneuvois public, funny, playful, she handles contemporary language with an extraordinary game, from crossfit coach to the fairy midwife via a crazy deputy, the artist embodies characters that we would swear having already crossed.
Thursday it was the turn of Gil Alma and Benoit Gilibert to do the honor in Villeneuvois to present their final representation of their show “Yes for life”. And for their last representation, the two artists have let go, happily alternating crazy sketches, improvisations, twists and turns, ingredients that made a conquered audience cry. Friday, it was Nora Hamzawi as a columnist for our modern neuroses and her acid and sincere tone that ignited the public.
It was on Saturday, during the last evening of this festival that Nawell Madami offered for 2 hours and 20 minutes an extraordinary performance, not only because of the temperature in the room worthy of a Finnish sauna, but also and above all by the high -flying performance offered by the artist to the public. Between mental load, notoriety and injection of Botox, Nawell Madani offered a final show, (it was also his last representation), of great power, alternating trash humor and emotional sequences with a free word and without detour the difficulties in having a child.
“New surprises next year”
Asked about his feelings at the end of this 33rd edition, Tony Feijoo has communicative enthusiasm.
“It was a big edition, despite our fears during the first evening, (the thunderstorms had a moment threatened the welcome cocktail), it was a big edition that artists offered us, despite the scorching temperature in the theater. But according to the elected official who expressed herself on stage, the air conditioning would be in the pipes. This success would not have been possible without the immense work of all the volunteers … I am meeting next year, I promise you great surprises, ”concludes Tony Feijoo.
Public and jury prices, Hugo Fisherman won the

The public and the jury were not mistaken, Hugo Fisherman, revealed in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, has already conquered Paris, Montreux, Avignon and now Villeneuve with his show Clochette.
In 2023, he burned the boards of the prestigious Montreux Comedy Festival, with replay of his sketch on September 2, then joined the Paname generation tour at La Cigale.
His show, which explores the difficulty of pleases and authenticity, is well received. The criticism notes a performance in two acts: sea valves at the opening, followed in a more personal and poignant tone on family relationships, especially with his father and grandfather.
Hugo Fisherman embodies the new generation of humorists: a sharp style, a humor mixed with emotion, and multiple supports (scene, podcast). His journey, from Bagnols-sur-Cèze to Montreux, including Parisian comedies, installs an authentic and promising artist. To follow, both on stage and in your headphones. “The public was great throughout the festival, I particularly appreciated this osmosis and this proximity, I am particularly happy to have won these two trophies, I would therefore come back with pleasure since it is tradition when we win a trophy,” says the artist visibly moved and touched by his two victories.
