The main primary union fears a “rigor” budget in education
The main primary education union, the FSU-SNUIPP fears a budget of « rigueur » for national education and on the contrary requests an emergency plan for the French school in order to hoist it “In the rank of international standards”he said on Monday during a press conference.

Returning to the 3,000 deletions from civil servant posts envisaged by the government, it adds that it is “Clearly that national education will not be spared in 2026”.
Prime Minister François Bayrou announced on July 15 his intention to find almost 44 billion euros in savings via many measures, almost half of which would come from a “Mastery of public spending”. The government then provided for an increase in public spending compared to 2025 euros for school education, but without further details.
Aurélie Gagnier, spokesperson for the FSU-SNUIPP and Cosecretaire Générale, adds that the work of mobilization of teaching unions will register in duration, knowing that there is “Strike to bet that austerity will continue in the coming years”. “For us, the school must benefit from an emergency plan to leave it to the rank of international standards”estimated Ms. Monier, recalling that the French school is lagging behind in national and international assessments.
The FSU-SNUIPP requests “The opening of replacement holders, specialized teachers (…) means for the inclusive school, the defense of priority education, the improvement of the conditions of employment of the AESH”accompanying students with disabilities, lists Ms. Monier.
