It represents the possibility for a lucky one to “change its life overnight, without worrying about money”. This Tuesday, the players of theEuromillions will have the opportunity to win the maximum jackpot of 250 million euros. This ceiling, reached for the third time only in the history of the game, follows the draw last Friday during which no one found the five good numbers and the two stars.
Draw tonight
Participants have until Tuesday evening to validate their participation, whether online or in a physical point of sale. If no player wins the jackpot on Tuesday, Euromillions’ rules provide that the amount is brought into play up to four consecutive times.
In the absence of a big winner at the end of these four additional prints, the amount would then be shared between the players having found five good numbers and a star. The latest maximum jackpot was recently won by An Irishman, last June. The Irish lottery then congratulated herself with the “biggest Jackpot Euromillions ever won” in the country.
The maximum amount of 250 million euros cannot be exceeded according to the current Euromillions rules. After each maximum prize pool won, the cycle starts again with a jackpot of 17 million euros,
This limit of 250 million was established after a long evolution, the previous ceiling being 190 million euros. This increase required ten years and a new increase is not envisaged in the very short term, because it would require “the agreement of all the nine participating countries”.
