The Community Shield was enamelled by a unsightly incident before kick -off.
The tribute had to be interrupted by the referee.

The minute of silence in tribute to the former striker of the Reds Diogo Jota and his brother André, who died in a road accident last month, was disturbed by hoots and cries from part of the Eagles audience. Scheduled to last sixty seconds, the ceremony had to be interrupted by referee Chris Kavanagh.
Van Dijk: “Yes, I’m disappointed”
Captain of Liverpool, Virgil Van Dijk did not hide his bitterness: “Yes, I am disappointed. I don’t know who did that, but many were trying to silence these people … This is not what we want to hear in such a moment. ”
The Reds coach, Arne Slot, tried to calm the spirits, arguing that it was probably not a voluntary provocation: “Perhaps some were not aware that it was a minute of silence. The other supporters tried to silence them. I don’t think there was a bad intention. ”
