Club Brugge officially proposes new main sponsor: “Largest shirt sponsorship deal in Bruges history”
It was already in the air and now it is also official. Club Brugge has announced that the Swedish company Betsson Group will be an important sponsor for three years. Betsson.sport will adorn the Blauw-Zwart shirt during the European matches. “Betsson and Club Brugge are both innovative companies that strive for the highest,” says CEO Bob Madou.
Since January 1, the rule applies in Belgian football that the name of a gambling company can no longer be in large letters on the front of a shirt. Despite that consultation, Club Brugge opts for Goksbed company Betsson as a new shirt sponsor.
It will be Betsson.sport that will be shown on the sweaters. That is an app with a live score that is not explicitly encouraged to gamble.
This also applies to Betfirst.sport, one of Betsson’s brands. That will already be seen today as a shirt sponsor during a practice match against KV Kortrijk. For example, blue-black does not break rules.
The deal connects Betsson to Club Brugge until 2028. “It is the largest shirt sponsorship deal in Bruges history,” the club sounds. The Swedish company would invest around four million euros a year.

The Belgian cup winner and vice champion will play as a shirt sponsor during the European competitions with Betsson. Club Brugge has to work in the third preliminary round in the Champions League at the beginning of August.
