The former singer of I Prevail says that a persistent dispute with his former comrades prevents him from revealing his new solo music, in particular his announced title Phases.
Brian Burkheiser faced with a legal blockage
On his social networks, Brian Burkheiser explained that he was currently unable to publish his personal projects: “Following an unresolved dispute with my old group I prevail, I am prevented from release my song phases as well as other new music. I am deeply disappointed, but I do everything possible to unlock the situation. Thank you to my family, my friends and especially my fans for their unwavering support”he wrote.
The singer, who had provided clear votes since the group’s creation in 2013, announced his departure from I Prevail last May. At the time, the training evoked an amicable separation, motivated by its health problems, in particular Eagle syndrome, a rare affection causing strong pain in the throat and the neck, as we had reported in this article.
A departure marked by persistent tensions
In June, Burkheiser claimed that there was “no animosity” between him and his former partners, while regretting a lack of communication and recognizing that he “did not deserve that it happens like this”. Words that he had detailed in this previous article.
His new declaration reveals, however, that the conflict remains and that he is now hindering the launch of his solo career. Meanwhile, I Prevail continues on his way with Eric Vanlerberghe now alone in singing. The group is preparing to publish its fourth album Violent Nature September 19 via Fearless Records, the first extracts of which have already received a favorable reception, as we indicated here.
The future of Burkheiser therefore remains suspended from the resolution of this dispute, between the desire to launch solo and obstacles always very present.
