Twenty-seven medalists from the 2024 Paris Olympics will be in the running for the 50th edition of Athletissima in Lausanne next week. Including the complete Olympic podiums in four disciplines: the 800 m male and feminine, the height women and the male length.

The demonstration will be launched by the City Event pole jump competition Tuesday in Ouchy, by Lake Geneva. With two major favorites: the American Sam Kendricks and the Greek Emmanouil Karalis, respectively silver and bronze medal in Paris. The Australian Kurtis Marschall, the Philippin Ernest John Obena and the French Renaud Lavillenie will also be there.

Last year, Armand Duplantis had established the best world performance of all time out of stadium on this necklace with 6.15 m. This year, the Swedish will not be present.

A 100 m flamboyant

On Wednesday, four disciplines will be particularly under the spotlight during the meeting proper at the Pontaise stadium, since they will bring together all the medalists of the Olympic Games: the 800m men with Emmanuel Wanyonyi (Kenya), Marco Arop (Canada) and Djamel Sedjati (Algeria), that of women with Keely Hodgkinson (Great Britain) (Ethiopia) and Mary Moraa (Kenya), the height women with Yaroslava Mahuchickh (Ukraine), Nicola Olyslars (Australia) and Eleanor Patterson (Australia) and the male length with Miltiadis Tentoglou (Greece), Wayne Pinnock (Jamaica) and Mattia Furlani (Italy).

The 100m men also promises to be flamboyant, with, at the start, as already a press release, the Olympic champion Noah Lyles (USA) facing his runner -up in Paris, the Jamaican Kishane Thompson.

The other gold medalists in Paris 2024 present are the American Masai Russell over 100 m hurdles, the Japanese Haruka Kitaguchi at the javelot, the Dominican Marileidy Paulino, who will run the 200 m, and the Belgian Nafissatou Thiam (Heptathlon), who will compete in the height.

Swiss stars in the running

The Swiss stars in the running in Lausanne will be Angelica Moser (Perche), Ditaji Kambundji (100 m hurdles), Simon Ehammer (length), Dominic Lobalu (5000 m), Audrey Werro (800 m), Jason Joseph (110 m hurdles), Timothe Mumenthaler (100 m), Marcel Hug (1500 m Rolling Armchair) and Female 4×100 m.
