Aston Villa’s starting XI to face AS Roma in pre-season has been confirmed
Unai Emery has selected his starting XI to face AS Roma in Aston Villa’s sixth pre-season friendly of the summer.
Villa earned their first win of the summer against St. Louis in Missouri last Wednesday, following 2-2 draws with Eintracht Frankfurt in Kentucky and Nashville in Tennessee.
They lost their first two friendlies of the summer, against Walsall and Hansa Rostock, although a number of first-team players did not feature in those matches.
EMI Martinez Starts in Goal Behind a Defense of Lamare Bogarde, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings and Ian Maatsen.
Boubacar Kamara and Youri Tielemans operate in the double pivot, while Leon Bailey, Emi Buendia and Jacob Ramsey support the striker, Ollie Watkins.
Villa starting XI vs Roma: Martinez is, Boarda, Kings, Matgus, House, Tiley, Bailley, Bieley, Ramsey, Watkins.
Subs: Gauci, Bizot, Cash, McGinn, Digne, Torres, Malen, Iling-Jr, Onana, Rogers, Rowe, Hemmings, Patterson, Jimoh-Aloba, Burrowes.
