The RSC Anderlecht still wishes to separate from several players before the end of the summer transfer window. One of the candidates at the start is Mario Stroeykens, and his file could soon accelerate.
The 20 -year -old attacking/attacker is a pure neerped product and had already pointed out very young. His baptism of fire with the first team was not long in: under the Vincent Kompany era, Stroeykens took his first steps among the pros from the age of sixteen.
Subsequently, however, he sailed between the first team and the RSCA Futures. His contract was still extended until 2026. In the 2023-2024 season, Stroeykens definitively joined the A and became one of the team’s revelations.
Anderlecht wants to sell Stroeykens
Today, he is starting his last year of contract. An extension has not been topical for a long time and Anderlecht therefore prefers to sell it from this transfer window in order to avoid a free departure next summer. The player himself seems open to a new challenge.
So far, few concrete movements have taken place around him. But the situation could quickly evolve. Last week, it was revealed that he was on the AC Milan wishes list. And according to the Italian press, the Rossoneri could soon take action.
According to Transfer marketMilan considers Stroeykens as the ideal replacement for Noah Okafor, leaving for Leeds United. In recent days, the two clubs have come closer to an agreement. The Milanese, however, await the medical verdict concerning the injury of Rafael Leão before finalizing.
The wait should not last: the transaction for Okafor could be concluded this week. As soon as it is the case, AC Milan should start fully in the Stroeykens file. Its transfer is estimated at around 10 million euros.
