Better BrokenSarah McLachlan
It cannot be said that Sarah McLachlan abuses: on September 19, she will publish her first album of original songs in more than a decade. A fairly elegant way of not only enjoying the nostalgic wave of all those who, like me, were lulled by their repeated listening Fumbling Towards Ecstasydisk of which she will celebrate the respectable age – over 30 years! – in October with two concerts in place of the arts (29 and 30). Where is Sarah McLachlan in 2025? In sweetness, always, without trying to make young or follow the modes, as we can hear on Better Broken. His voice, still marked by beautiful high impulses perched, still soothes as much.

Always the holidaysThe three chords and pirate hearts
What if that was this one, the song of the summer? Frankly, it is difficult to find at the moment such a catchy ear worm and such a delightful coupling … and less improbable than you might think. The three chords and hearts of pirate share a common love for light melodies and naive words, and obviously had fun writing this very simple and falsely candid love song. The voices of Simon Proulx and Béatrice Martin marry perfectly, their harmonies are pretty, and we just want to go on vacation with this unpublished couple, while waiting for the release in the fall of their respective albums.

Berlioz/Boulanger, Nicolò Foron
Some may recently noticed this Rouquin in three-room suit on the internet leading an orchestra like a child having fun with the coolest game in town. It was Nicolò Umberto Foron, during the final of the Donatella Flick conducting competition, which he won in 2023 at the age of 25. To the key: an engraving of the Fantastic symphony from Berlioz and Sad night From Lili Boulanger with the German Symphony Orchestra in Berlin. Even if there would probably be to complain about certain choices made by the young Italian-German musician, there is undeniably a “paw” behind this recording made in Bremen last summer. Note his name, he will come back.

Supreme Clientele 2Ghostface Killah
Published 25 years ago, Supreme Clientele is considered the most successful album of Ghostface Killah. Alternating between the pictorial story and the current of consciousness on rhythms full of soul, sun or shade, the disc has not aged. The rest does not manage to reproduce the genius of the original, but the state of mind is similar. Paranoia and the vulnerability of the first were replaced by the insurance and nostalgia for a 55 -year -old man. Some colleagues from the Wu-Tang Clan support it again, while Ghost once again lets his protégés shine. Quebecer Duff, who has been discovered in the United States by winning a tournament beats judged by the legendary producer Havoc, composed the third piece, Sample 420. One of the highlights of Supreme Clientele 2he also counts on two verses of the formidable duo MOP

Everything that happened to me, Solarium
It is especially for the saxophone of Louis Plouffe that we repeatedly listen to this new solarium play extracted from his third album to come in a week-show-launch on August 29, at the Golden Lion. The instrument is here master of the rhythm and creator of the atmosphere, while the keyboards of Karl-André Rozankovic, the double bass of Vincent Dessureault and the battery of Léo Minville play the essential subordinates, in the background-just like the discreet presence of a female choir. The part is classic in its structure and limits the flights of instruments. The quartet has done its duties and demonstrates the seriousness of its approach: this is a proposal that will appeal to an audience in search of an atmosphere, above all.
