Saturday, August 16, the church of Mauléon-Barousse resonated under the arch of Béatrice Gaugué-Natorp and her husband Christophe Gaugué, for a concert of a rare intensity. In this intimate and warm place, the couple of musicians, both major figures of the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, offered the public a moment of grace between timeless masterpieces and a deep artistic complicity. Carried by the virtuosity of Béatrice and Christophe, each work has found a particular resonance in the cozy acoustics of the church, captivating an emotional assembly.
This 2025 edition will be extended exceptionally on Thursday, September 4, at 5 p.m., in the same church, with a new evening this time bringing together four virtuosos: Béatrice and Christophe Gaugué, joined by their son Charles, cellist and pianist graduated from Lausanne and the CNSM of Paris, as well as by the Franco-Italian violinist Mathilde Lauridon.
Born in Trieste and formed between Paris, Düsseldorf, Mannheim and Rome, Mathilde Lauridon played in the Gustav Mahler Judendorchester, founded by Claudio Abbado, before creating the Alma Mahler Kammerochester, awarded at Bruno Frey Musikpreis. Active on the international scene and passionate about contemporary creation, she performs regularly with the inter -contemporary set and teaches at the Georges Bizet Conservatory in Paris.
With a program associating Bellini, Bach, Schubert and Debussy, this second meeting of September 4 promises a new parenthesis of emotion and virtuosity, where the richness of the routes is combined in unison.
