Applications invited for posts of Coastal Home Guards

The Greater Chennai Home Guards invites applications from young. However, energetic and interested fishermen youth who possess excellent swimming skills for appointment as coastal Home Guards.

Applicants must be 18 years. In addition, above, but below 50 years, hail from the fishing community; necessary certificates should be obtained from district fisheries department officers and must have good conduct with no criminal records. Moreover, Applicants must be residents of Chennai City. Therefore, must reside in the radius of 20 kms along the sea shore of Marina, Marine Police Station of Chennai City.

The notification said the selected home guards will be trained for 45 days (one hour daily training). After completion of the training. they will be deployed on the Marina, Marine Police Station to assist the Coastal Security Group in Chennai’s coastal areas.
