Isabelle Huppert signs her return to the big screen at the end of 2025. In the film The richest woman in the worldproduced by Thierry Klifa, she plays Marianne Farrère, a billionaire woman and overpowered freely inspired by Liliane Bettencourt.
The feature film was presented out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released at the cinema on October 25. The film also echoes the news while the government is preparing its budget for the year 2026 and the left requires more imposing the big fortunes.
When Anne-Sophie Lapix asks Isabelle Huppert on RTL if she finds this question legitimate, she answers: “A little anyway, yes”. She evokes A company that has “always been unequal”. “So you have to do everything to make it as little as possible, but it is,” deplores Isabelle Huppert. “It is in essence, of course,” she adds. “We are not all equal to life. Even less in other parts of the world, of course.”
