The 41 -year -old actress spoke of the disappearance of her husband during the “Good Hang” broom by her friend Amy Poehler this Wednesday.
Aubrey and Amy, who played together in the series “Parks and Recreation”, held the hand over the table briefly when the host asked Aubrey how she felt after the death of her filmmaker in January.
First diverting her Amy’s gaze to focus on Frankie, her “therapeutic dog”, the star of “Ingrid Goes West” replied: “Uh, at this very precise moment, I am happy to be with you. Overall, I am here, I work and I feel really grateful to be able to continue to advance in life. I think it’s okay, but you know, it’s like a daily fight. ”
The actress then compared her mourning to the film “The Gorge”, the 2025 horrifying science fiction thriller in which Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy keep both sides with a chasm filled with monsters.
“I swear, when I looked at him, I told myself that it looked like my mourning or that mourning can be,” said Aubrey.
“Permanently, there is like a giant horror ocean right there, and I can see it. Sometimes I just want to dive into it and stay there, sometimes I just look at it, and other times I just try to move away from it. But he’s still there, and the monsters try to catch me like Miles Teller and Anya Taylor-Joy. ”
In a solo segment at the end of the broom, Amy encouraged her listeners to watch the “magnificent movies” by Aubrey and Jeff: “Little Hours”, “Life After Beth” and “Spin Me Round”, calling Jeff as a writer and “incredible”. She also shared suicide prevention resources.
