A concert in the street for the new musical week

They were more than 300 spectators on Wednesday August 6, to attend the traditional free concert, at 9 p.m., on the forecourt of the church., A privileged moment well anchored among the Clairacais. The interns of the new musical week played, on the basis of volunteer, pieces of classic that they chose and repeated during the breaks. “It is a gift concert for the Clairacais who welcome us so well during this intense work week of rehearsals,” explained Pierre Landau, president of the association carrying the orchestra: the keys of Euphonia.

The choristers, from all over France, showed a lot of humor by interpreting two songs: “not let go of the hot potato” and the “Corsican tango”, interpretation led by the choir head, Albane.

Small, folklore and tango

A trio of oboe played the piccolo in suitable version. A duo for cello and violin interpreted the Hungarian folklore of Kodály Zaltan, dating from 1914. Always humor with a duet: a piccolo and a low clarinet, a fifty meter. In parallel, disguised musicians played a piece of derision. The public was also invited to participate by slamming fingers, tapping hands, feet, then humming tunes following the orchestra.

After an extract from Piazzolla opera, famous for its tangos, the last serenade of Arthur Bonetto, composed to be played in the street, was appreciated by the public applauding standing, with angels.

The closing concert will take place on Saturday August 9, at the Saint-Pierre church. On the program: the orchestra The keys of Euphonia.
