Thirty-five years after their conviction for the murder of their parents, the Menendez brothers could be released. The Los Angeles prosecutor reopened the case, reviving a file that had shocked the world.

How had two young people from Beverly Hills were able to kill their own parents to reach the family inheritance? Last October, the Los Angeles prosecutor decided to re -examine the file: 35 years later, menendez brothers “A new conviction is appropriate. During their trial, the two brothers had recognized the facts but had pleaded the self -defense. History, reported in the series Monster On Netflix, appears even more sordid over time. The series highlights an authoritarian mother but, above all, accuses their father of sexual abuse on the Menendez brothers.
Justice reopened the file. discovered a letter written eight months before the murder by Erik Menendez to his cousin:“I tried to avoid dad, it’s always going on Andy, but it’s worse for me now … I never know when it’s going to happen, it drives me crazy. Each night I wake up saying that he can go back.”
