Eight years after announcing his cinema retirement, actor Daniel Day-Lewis is back in a new film he co-wrote with his son, director Ronan Day-Lewis.
Entitled Anemone, this feature film – The first directed by Ronan Day -Lewis – will be presented worldwide at the New York Film Festival at the end of September before taking the poster in several American cities for a few weeks.
On the first image of the film, unveiled on Tuesday, we can see Daniel Day-Lewis looking towards the sky, alongside actor Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings).
“Anemone explores the complex and deep links that exist between brothers, fathers and son”, Can we read in the film’s summary, provided by the Focus Features studio.
Recall that Daniel Day-Lewis had announced his cinema retirement in 2017 after the release of the film Le Fil hidden. The only actor to have won the Oscar for best actor three times, the 68 -year -old Briton notably distinguished himself in the films My Left Foot: the story of Christy Brown, the last of the Mohicans, Lincoln et There will be blood.
