As for the free festival which seemed to be called into question according to some colleagues, Romane Civillo reassures: “Free is part of the DNA of the festival. If we were faced with a significant financial danger we would rediscate it, but that is not a current problem.” It is therefore with enthusiasm that the committee will soon be tackling the organization of the 5e Edition which, anniversary obliges, should bring some new features.
Shadow volunteers
But the wild rock’r is also nearly 120 volunteers who are busy during, but also, in the shadows, before and after the festival. This is the case of Elisabeth Siegenthaler, her husband Fabien and her nephew Hugues who prepare the meals of volunteers working on construction throughout the week before the festival. “I was not going to Rock’Air, but when we were asked by the organizers of Rock’R, we immediately said yes,” said Elisabeth Siegenthaler, mother of Géraud Siegenthaler, ankle worker of the event.
She particularly appreciates, with her husband Fabien, to please active volunteers during assembly. “These are the most motivated and they must be pampered,” notes the retired alert which only offered vegetarian meals. She was also able to take advantage of the help of friends, like Michel and Claire Donzé who cooked the risotto and the stuffed tomatoes of the last day before the festival.
Now, Elisabeth Siegenthaler frequents wild rock’r. “I will have a drink there. It is very friendly and I like this event that drives the city,” she says, admitting to being less attracted by musical programming.
