The person who “spreads fire” of the culture of reading

Phuong NHI (2nd from the right) receives books to build a library at Tran Mai Ninh secondary school.

Starting from the principle that “there is no bad book, it’s just that you have not found the book that suits you”, Thi Phuong Nhi, born in 2012 and pupil of the Lycée Tran May Ninh (Hac Thanh district), presented for the first time “the rainbow warrior”, a famous work of Indonesian writer Andrea Hirata. It’s his favorite book. Without being too philosophical, this book tells a simple story that touches deeply. These stories are presented by Phuong NHI in a concise and easy to remember way thanks to a video, with a touching and touching introduction. Thanks to his investment in the competition and his passion for the dissemination of reading culture, the Phuong NHI competition won the first prize in the competition for the Ambassadors of Culture for the Reading of the Province of Thanh Hoa in 2025.

By meeting Phuong NHI at home, we were very impressed by the open class space, combined with well -appointed and clearly visible shelves. About the book presented during the “Ambassador of reading Culture Ambassador”, Phuong Nhi said: “Books are a real treasure of human knowledge. By reading books, we better understand the human soul, a context of life, lessons and personal experiences. Thanks to the teachings of the book “Rainbow Warrior”, I want to transmit many positive values to all. »»

“This book is my reward for my good academic results. He has a personality that I admire: Ms. Mus is a great source of motivation for me and perhaps for those who have read it. The lessons and lessons that Mrs. Mus transmits to her students in this story are also precious for me and a message for all those who have this book in their hands. These lessons have helped me become a good person, ”added NHI.

In addition to life lessons, the book tells the story of poor students, deprived of books, educated in difficult conditions and whose school can collapse at any time. This book thus broadcasts a message, hoping to give hope to children, especially those in disadvantaged neighborhoods, allowing them to go to school.

From this story was born a big dream for Phuong Nhi: bringing books to children, especially to the disadvantaged children of remote regions, where the path to knowledge is still strewn with pitfalls and difficulties. Not limited to his personal feelings, Phuong Nhi gradually achieves his ideal by concrete and creative actions.

Passionate about reading, NHI always chooses books as a reward and builds his own shelves. She is always delighted to tell her parents, her brothers and sisters and friends the stories and the lessons she draws from books. From there, she transmits her love of reading to her family and friends. At the same time, NHI actively participates in books of books and builds shelves at school and in the community. NHI has notably studied self -taught, trained in oral expression, presentation and reading to make his dream of creating a YouTube channel, presenting books with postcards and talking about it. In school, NHI participates in the small literature club, where she reads postcards with her friends to present books and lessons.

When asked why she loves books so much, NHI responds with touching sincerity: “Read relieves me and relaxes me, while helping me expand my thought and better understand life. Thanks to reading, I have a richer vocabulary to write, speak and express myself with confidence. These shared words are not in vain, but are confirmed by his excellent academic results and his remarkable communication skills.

Ms. Tran Thi Hien, principal teacher of Phuong NHI, said: “Phuong NHI is a good student, assiduous and actively participates in the activities and movements of the school and the class. NHI has a talent for expression and an excellent sense of contact. She is not only diligent, but also knows how to transmit many positive things to those around her. When the class has built an open library in the school’s second floor hall so that students can read books during recess, NHI not only brought books proactively, but also actively encouraged to contribute and organize the library. NHI and some friends have notably created postcards presenting books and positive stories of life and studies. »»

The title of ambassador for the culture of reading the province of Thanh Hoa is not only a great reward for the efforts of Phuong Nhi, but also a testimony of the power of books: by penetrating the soul of a young child, books can become an engine of action, even arouse great ideals. This title also confirms that books are not only a source of knowledge, but also a companion, a “light that guides” children towards a beautiful and useful life, with confidence.
