One of his missions by coming to play. here is to remind people the importance of Acadian traditional musical culture.
What I would like is to be able to inspire the new generation to take over. After me, I don’t see many people, not big young people who want to take a musical instrument. I try to encourage young people who pass and I would like tradition to persist
says the musician.
The violin is in my tchœur. it represents the Acadian tradition.

I was quite inspired by my grandfather. Joseph Daigle, who played the accordion, and then my father Chester Elward, who played the guitar. When I was young, it interested me less, but in 2001, once adult, I said to myself: well, it’s time! I force myself to push myself, to improve and learn new tounes.
Wayne Elward adds that he reserves surprises to his audience for his next season at Salisbury Big Stop Restaurant. We bet that many of them are entering the rhythm of his wooden hooves and dancing to his Acadian music.
