Rufus and Anna | The new Hochelaga rotisserie

And three! After the Café Junco and the Eleonore refreshment bar, here is Rufus and Anna, a new gourmet address on rue Ontario, bearing the coquette signature of the Super group, inaugurated at the beginning of the summer.

This third address in less than a year in the sector stands in place of the Blind Pig, of the same team still, a beloved festive brasserie in the neighborhood, which closed at the start of the year, after ten years of loyal service. Several months of intense renovations later, here is the brand new rotisserie, fresh woodwork, brown leather bench and disco ball included, born from the same desire for conviviality, although a resolutely more elegant checkout. The decor was also entrusted to the Blanchette archi studio. Design, the usual accomplice of the team.

Third address rue Ontario in one year for the Super group.

“He is an adult bar, summarizes the entrepreneur Mathieu Ménard. We have aged, and our vision of hospitality has changed. It is more in our image! »»

Forget the beer bocks at $ 3, so now think about developed cocktails, with names that travel (boreal flower, bayou bloom, nectar maya, etc.). To put in the tooth, the card is still as comforting, but more gastronomic as before. Inevitably, also less economical.

Chef Nicolas Marra (formerly in the bungalow) offers here oysters and foie gras as a starter (deliciously decadent as it should be), as well as several small light dishes to share, concocted and carefully presented. Favorite for ancestral tomatoes, accompanied by seasonal peaches, and especially their sumac vinaigrette. Delicate and tasty, let’s also mention smoked trout and the golden ceviche.

Of course: Roading obliges, the farmer chicken is here in the spotlight, with a sandwich club (with foie gras always) which apparently has a great success, and the traditional plate of half-noise (or whole chicken!), Served with fries, salad and cabbage salad, without forgetting its house gravy. A classic to share.

To get it all, we offer some pretty thirst wines. But it is with the cocktail map that the team here was obviously the most amused, offering an 11 -step menu and as many recipes, tribute to the migratory course of the Colibri. Why is him, exactly? But because it is the muse of the restaurant of course, as evidenced by several winks, here or there, and even in the pretty toilet tapestry. “We find it cool, and then the signature of Super, that’s it,” continues Mathieu Ménard, the birds! ” »»

Note that on Fridays and Saturday evenings, a DJ settles at the back of the room, to stretch the evening in festivities. And we are whispering that it raises!

Plan a good thirty dollars per person, alcohol in addition. Cocktails from $ 15. Rufus and Anna can establish around sixty people inside, and as much in terraces in season.
