During the nights, at the La Maison-Livre bookstore, a beautiful evening readings and dedications took place, of two authors of the town and the surroundings, with Line Joce who published in The Book Edition The eventpublished in June 2025, and Gérard Dupuy with Baudelaire editions Donation of donationsalso published this spring.
The latter is a doctor and has already written four books, Donation of donations being the last born. He is about to make a fifth book appear this summer.
Line Joce also wrote novels under the name of Jocelyne Chaillou Dubly.
The theme of the testimony of Line Joce takes its source in a painful family event. The author relates, with great delicacy, and a lot of strength, the accidental loss of a young child.
The story is punctuated with finesse. The consequences, the context: all this is said in a beautiful language. Without frills, fluid, nothing is too much. Poetry, sometimes, invites itself to express the unspeakable.
There is an emotion held on the thread all along the book, as if we were invited to accompany the one that gives us a confidence.
The testimony story opens on the universal because it joins each of us in its intimate injuries.
This reading was a moment of strong sharing. Two reader friends and the author herself read extracts from the book simultaneously with great accuracy.
Poetic writing
The works of Gérard Dupuy were presented by Isabelle Lelouch, a bookseller, also author, who welcomed the two writers in her bookstore dedicated to the arts, the human sciences and literature (La Maison-Livre opened only during periods of school holidays).
Gérard Dupuy, a retired doctor and naturopath, remains a doctor at heart with a poetic writing which gives his works a very singular value.
The author starts from the physiology and biological functions of the body to lead the reader to an allegory of the intelligence of the living.
He manages to offer the reader a very relevant and original vision of the link between organs and temporality. Intuitions and poetry mingle with flavor with scientific knowledge, to bring eternity already contained in our corporality.
