Alexandre Astier unveils the first images of the next “Kaamelott”
The first part of the second part of the adventures of the Knights of the Round Table will be released in theaters on October 22. A new chapter opens.

Fans will have had to be patient, but they were rewarded this Thursday: the knights of the round table officially resume service at the cinema. Four years after the release of the first film on the big screen, Alexandre Astiercreator of the cult series “Kaamelott “unveiled on social networks the first images of the next installment in the cinematographic saga. The latter will be divided into two parts.
In theaters on October 22, the first part of the second part of King Arthur’s burlesque adventures is revealed in a teaser full of humor, between giant ghost and casting XXL.

On August 7, the actor and director Alexandre Astier had also revealed the complete list of the credits of this second part. We find there the familiar faces ofAlain Chabat (the Duke of Aquitaine), Guillaume Galienne (Alzagar), Audrey Fleurot (La Dame du Lac), Jean-Christopher Humbert (Karadoc de Vannes), Lionnel Astier (Léodagan de Carmelide) or Christian Clavier (the jurisconsult).
Some other characters, absent from the first part, are making a comeback. This is the case of Brice Fournier (Kadoc de Vannes), in the first part and Simon Astier (Yvain), in the second.

The cast also densifies by welcoming Franck Dubosc, Thomas VDB or Redouane Bougheraba. Virginie Ledoyen also takes up the role of Anna de Tintagel, hitherto played by Anouk Grinberg.
A big absent from the second part of “Kaamelott”
But a cult character in the saga is missing. Perceval, interpreted by Franck Pitiot, does not appear in the next two films. An unexpected absence and without official explanation, strongly criticized on social networks.

Regarding the plot, Alexandre Astier confides on Instagram: “The second part of” Kaamelott “is the chapter where Arthur sends his knights – veterans or novices, longtime companions or recruits of the year – on an adventure. It is therefore a colossal number of characters, grouped in teams, who leave the round table to prove their value and their courage around the world. ”
And Alexandre Astier to add: “It is a long component, made up of many parallel stories, which deserves to dwell on it. I would not have compressed this in two hours. But it is indeed a unique component: a single clear unit of time, the same worlds, the same adventurers … And above all, the same shoot, of more than eight months. There is no ellipse between these two parts, and they may, in the end, be seen in the aftermath of each other as a single great film. ” A single big film which cannot be watched as a whole until November 11, 2026, the release date of the second part.
