After the success of the incredible Beau-Livre Côte-d’Or, the Cotedorpix association and Liralst editions are joining forces again for a major project: incredible Dijon Métropole. This new work, expected for mid-September, will offer more than 500 unpublished photographs devoted to the 23 municipalities of the Dijon metropolis, with historical and narrative texts.
The project is carried out by the Cotedorpix association, founded by Nicolas Daubigney to the strongest of confinement in April 2020. This Facebook group of photography enthusiasts today brings together nearly 22,000 members. From this dynamic was born, in 2022, an association which worked to enhance the heritage of the Côte-d’Or and Dijon Métropole.
The first book published in 2023, incredible Côte-d’Or, required more than 400 hours of work and sold more than 2,500 copies. Faced with the enthusiasm aroused, the team decided to extend the adventure with a second volume dedicated to Dijon and its agglomeration.
Little -known small corners and moments of life
The book will offer an unprecedented visual journey, highlighting both churches, castles, legendary places and parks, gardens, combs, lakes and vineyards. The clichés will also show scenes of life, local festivals and unusual places, to reveal the metropolis in a new light.
As for the previous opus, the selection of photos follows a rigorous process: sorting, rereading, verification of legends.
The book, published in landscape format on high -end photo paper, will be structured in thematic chapters (built heritage, modern architecture, nature, urban scenes, reflections, etc.). Each photo will be accompanied by the name of its author and an explanatory legend.

Beyond the book, Cotedorpix will reinvest copyright to finance free guided tours and other heritage valuation actions. “Everything is volunteer. What we want is to share the passion of the territory and allow everyone to discover unsuspected places, ”specifies Nicolas Daubigney.
With incredible Dijon Métropole, the inhabitants and visitors will be able to rediscover the richness of a territory which was once the heart of the powerful duchy of Burgundy, and which continues to amaze with the diversity of its landscapes and its stories.
