Hawaiian Airlines strengthens its flights to Tahiti

Hawaiian Airlines will double the frequency of its connections between Honolulu and Papeete from March 2026. Tahiti is one of the destinations for “high demand” according to the company, which decided in parallel to suspend three “unproffed” lines.

Hawaiian Airlines redeploys his fleet to “high demand” destinations, including Tahiti, Sydney, Los Angeles and Seattle, according to the Hawaii News Now media. Papeete will be served twice a week instead of one, from March 2026.

In return, the company suspends the Incheon, South Korea destinations, Fukuoka, Japan, and Boston, Massachusetts from November. After several years of theft, Hawaiian Airlines judges them “ineffective”.

The last flights of Fukuoka and Boston in Honolulu will take place on November 19, and from Incheon to Honolulu on November 21. Hawaii News Now indicates that customers affected by suspensions may be redirected to other flights or benefit from a refund.

This reorganization aims, according to CEO of Hawaiian Airlines Joe Sprague, to “Respond to the high demand for travel to Hawaii, both internationally and national, while offering all our customers access to more destinations“.

In addition to the two Honolulu-Papeete weekly flights, the company provides:

  • Five weekly flights between Honolulu and Sydney from December 18 to January 31.
  • Launch of a fifth daily flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles in high season, from November 21 to December 1 and from December 19 to January 6.
  • Adding a fourth daily flight Honolulu-Seattle from late November to mid-April.
  • From the spring of 2026, the airline will also launch a non -stop service from Seattle in Rome and London to Iceland, with correspondences with a single stopover to Hawaii.
