Detection of a chain of printing for false textbooks worth 15 billion VND

(QNGTV) – The Bac Ninh police dismantled a network of printing and sale of false textbooks, totaling more than 185,000 copies. The value of the evidence entered amounts to 15 billion dongs.

Bac Ninh provincial police have announced that they have opened an investigation, prosecuted and placed in pre -trial detention three people involved in a vast interpromincial network for production and trade in false textbooks. The authorities have seized more than 185,000 counterfeit pounds, worth more than 8 billion Dongs, as well as numerous means and materials of printing and transport, for a total value estimated at around 15 billion Dongs.

The first results of the survey established that Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, director of the Northern Printing Technology Investment Company Limited, was the brain and the printing organizer of a large number of false textbooks. These books were distributed to Nguyen Thi Tuyen (owner of the Hang Thang bookstore) and TA Ngoc Long (owner of the Phu Thinh bookstore). The suspects continued to sell false books to many agents and schools in the province of Bac Ninh and the city of Hanoi.

The individuals involved operate in an organized manner, hiding behind the cover of legal companies. The production area is located in a remote area, little frequented and limited traffic. Distribution is carried out via social networks and unofficial channels, at prices 20 to 30 % lower than that of authentic books. The authorities are continuing their investigation and deepened the case.
