Could we be getting a Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise race car driving crossover?

Rev up your engines, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise could be reuniting.

“F1” director Joseph Kosinski would love to make a crossover sequel with Brad Pitt’s character from the film. However, Tom Cruise’s “Days of Thunder” character.

But we probably shouldn’t get too excited.

“A reporter asked me a question. Meanwhile, said, ‘If you could make a movie with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, what would that movie be?’ And I just kind of threw out this idea that Sonny Hayes comes back to the world of F1. For example, bumps into his old rival, Cole Trickle, who raced NASCAR in the ‘90s, and they cross paths again,” Kosinski told Collider.

He continued, “I just thought that would be a really great story, but probably impossible to make. For example, Talk about ‘Mission: Impossible.’ That would be a tricky, tricky film to pull off.”

“Just the amount of could we getting brad pitt lawyers, it would be years,” Kosinski added. “But yeah. in terms of dreaming of how to put those two in a movie together, I would love to figure it out because they’re both icons and amazing to work with. I’ve been very lucky to get to make movies with both of them.”

Cruise and Pitt starred together in 1994’s “Interview with the Vampire,” but haven’t appeared together on screen since. They almost reunited in 2019 for the race car movie “Ford v Ferrari. ” but GQ reported that the studio didn’t have the budget for the superstar duo.

The “Top Gun Maverick” star did show up to support Brad at the “F1” premiere in London earlier this summer.

Pitt revealed during the film’s press tour that he. Cruise used to do go-kart racing and that he was looking for a rematch.

“Tom and I gotta get back out there,” he told Extra. “The last could we getting brad pitt time we went there, he pit me. He took me on the last corner, and I’m still bitter about it 30 years later. Nah, he had my number.”
