Bruce Dickinson promises an album “Heavy to grind your bones” for 2027, approved by Steve Harris (Iron Maiden)

Bruce Dickinson is preparing a new chapter in his solo career with an album announced for 2027, which will mix passages from overwhelming heaviness at more intimate moments, already validated by Steve Harris in person.

A disc that looks massive

In an interview with Metal Hammerthe singer of Iron Maiden confirmed that he had recorded 18 demos last April for his next solo album. The recording is scheduled for January 2026 with producer Brendan Duffey, for an exit fixed at 2027. The artist promises songs “heavy to grind your bones”, but also passages capable of “touching in the heart”. He specifies: “If it’s heavy, it’s heavy. If it’s acoustic, it’s acoustic. This is the story tells the song”.

Among the first listeners, Steve Harris, bassist and leader of Iron Maiden, did not hide his enthusiasm. After listening to the demos, he would have said: “It’s the best [matériel solo] that you have never done ”. An opinion that will not fail to stir up the curiosity of fans.

Continuity after The Mandrake Project

Released in March 2024, The Mandrake Project marked the solo discographic return of Dickinson after almost twenty years. Praised for his production and musical wealth, the album had given rise to a remarkable European tour, before exporting to the United States. The next disc will resume part of the same team, including Dave Moreno on the drums, Mistheria at the keyboards and Tanya O’Callaghan at the bass.

Between this promising new solo album and Maiden’s future prospects, already mentioned in this article, Bruce Dickinson is about to live intense years.
