Inactive since the loss of the undisputed championship of mid-heavy against Dmitrii Bivol in Riyadh last February, Artur Beterbiev now knows the identity of his next opponent and he will return to Saudi Arabia for a third consecutive outing.
On November 22, at 40, Beterbiev will face Alabama Deon Nicholson’s knock which has only one defeat on its 23 fights.
The Canadian of Russian origin must therefore abandon a third confrontation against Bivol, for the moment, before more difficult negotiations between the two clans.
For his part, Bivol has given up his WBC title instead of negotiating with his compulsory aspirant, the interim champion David Benavidez, when he had to face his compulsory aspirant of the IBF Michael Eifert.
Benavidez, therefore, will be the headliner of the card in Riyadh on November 22 after the fight between Beterbiev and Nicholson. He will be opposed to Anthony Yarde during his first defense of the title.
Turki Alashikh confirmed his card scheduled for November, without however providing any explanations or possibility of a third confrontation between BETERBIEV and BIMPON.
