Bad news for football fans: still no Jupiler Pro League on television, and it could last – all football

Discussions between Dazn and Telcos will continue to take Belgian football hostage one more weekend. No agreement has been reached, and the matches will therefore once be visible only on the application.

After three days, the observation is terrible: anyone who does not have an intelligent television (Smart TV) or not wishing to install the Dazn application on their smartphone or tablet (or not having it either), has so far been able to attend … no meeting of Jupiler Pro League from his sofa.

The fight for television rights rages between Dazn, the broadcaster, and telecoms (Voo, Telenet and Proximus), with the main victims of football lovers of the whole country. And DAZN We learn, on the eve of the 4th day, that the meetings of the latter will not be broadcast either.

“Despite all the efforts made by Dazn in recent weeks to reach an agreement with the main historic distributors after intense negotiations, there is still no light at the end of the tunnel,” said Dazn in a press release.

Worse still: Massimo d’Amario, boss of Dazn Belgium, says that despite a “significant” of the broadcaster to telecoms, “discussions in recent weeks indicate that a quick solution is unlikely”.

The concern does not concern only Belgian football: from this weekend, all the Liga, Premier League or Ligue 1 meetings will also be seen … on the Dazn application. Or elsewhere, if the supporters have enough of the little game played by the broadcasters at their expense …
