Adventure Way kiosks emerge in all their Art Nouveau splendor

At the heart of the ambitious extension of parc Walt Disney Studiossoon renamed Disney Adventure World In 2026, two imposing kiosks have just taken a decisive step. Located on both sides of the start of the central artery ofAdventure Waythese structures saw their scaffolding removed after months of meticulous work. Now, their elegant silhouettes stand, faithful to the preparatory sketches unveiled several years ago by Disneyland Paris. Although palisades still mask their bases, the upper parts offer a captivating overview of what awaits visitors.

Two kiosks as an entry to Adventure Way

The two kiosks, especially intended to allow visitors to take shelter, embody remarkable fidelity to the initial concepts. Presented during announcements at the D23 Expo Three years ago now, these preparatory drawings highlighted pavilions evoking the elegance of a bygone era, integrated harmoniously into the aisle ofAdventure Way. This central route, designed as an artery paying homage to different types of gardens, will see these kiosks serve as visual anchor points from the entrance.

The construction, started several months ago, has progressed with particular attention to detail, as evidenced by the images taken this evening by our reporter. The roofs, adorned with discreet lighting – luminous globes integrated into the metallic dome – promise an enchanted atmosphere after dark. Although the bases remain hidden by temporary palisades, protecting the ground finishes and the facilities of the rest of the site, the summits already reveal something quite nice architecturally.

An art new inspiration anchored in Parisian history

The aesthetics of these kiosks draws directly from the Art Nouveau movement, this flourishing style in Paris at the turn of the 20th century, characterized by its winding lines, its organic patterns and its harmony with nature. Think of the metro entrances toHector Guimardwith their vegetable scrolls and their fluid forms: here, the structures adopt a striking similarity, adapted to the universe of the park, and allowing to make a gentle transition between the more urban world of World Premiere Plaza and the extension. The choice is not trivial, because Disneyland Paris has often integrated Belle era elements into its designs (this is also the case on the esplanade François Truffaut), creating a bridge between the French cultural heritage and the adventure stories narrated in the park.

The kiosks display a dominant color of dark green, a deep and sophisticated tone that evokes the Victorian greenhouses or the exhibition pavilions of the beginning of the last century. This green, applied to metal frames and panels, contrasts with the white cream ornaments, giving timeless elegance. The whole suggests an inspiration taken from winter gardens or music kiosks from Squares and Parisian parks of yesteryear, revisited in Disneyne sauce. This stylistic merger strengthens the identity ofAdventure Wayand it is perhaps one of the rare positive points of this area which is still very empty.

Precise ornaments: shells, scrolls and features

The decorative details of the kiosks deserve special attention, as they enrich the structure of an artisanal finesse. In the center of the pediments, sits a stylized scallop shell-a classic motif of the new art (but also rococo), often symbolizing protection or opening towards the unknown, surrounded by floral scrolls which roll up like living lianas. These scrolls, with asymmetrical curves and at the ends of stylized leaves recall the plant patterns dear to Alphonse Mucha or Émile Gallé.

Lower, circular rosettes, adorned with radiant petals, punctuate the side panels, while openwork trellis – composed of intertwined metal grids – give aerial lightness to the lower arches. The spherical roofs, made up of a green metal cage dome, are surmounted by slender pinnacles: ornamental urns at the rounded top, flanked by tapered points, and finals in the shape of sculpted vases. Add to these elements painted in cream white, light globes which, once on, will underline the night contours of the dome structure. The whole, without overload, balance robustness and delicacy.

Harmonious integration into the extension of Disney Adventure World

Positioned symmetrically at the beginning ofAdventure Waythese kiosks mark the entry into an unprecedented area. Close to thematic gardens being finalized – where more than 1,000 trees and 100,000 shrubs take root, they integrate into a larger landscape including the central lake ofAdventure Bay and the frozen kingdom of World of Frozen. The current palisades, adorned with panels illustrating future transformations, still hide the bases and access, but suggest optimal pedestrian fluidity.
