According to our information, a national breakdown affects the IT infrastructure of the SNCF. All services would be affected, sales systems for telephone infrastructure that are used by agencies and agents. The SNCF does not yet communicate on this point, but a message on X clearly indicates a national failure, which would notably prevent agents from following the live trains. Other X accounts dedicated to specific lines indicate that the failure prevents the display of schedules at the station.
We will update this news as soon as we have more information. It could be a DDOS attack.
19:05 update: The failure is proven and mentioned by various official accounts. The news has been updated to take confirmation into account.
Update at 10:25 p.m.: Internally, the breakdown seems to touch almost all services, whether it is planning, emails but also a good part of the phones. The railroad workers no longer have access to their work schedules for the next day, and the follow-up of trains on the apps and the SNCF site is inoperative. Whatever the cause of the breakdown, it seems unprecedented. Moreover, it remains relatively transparent for users, who do not encounter strong disturbances on their journey, apart from the out -of -service ticket terminals. Although most of their usual tools seem to be broken down, SNCF agents and employees ensure the fluidity of traffic while waiting for the problem solving.
