A colorful Sunday with “The painters in the street”

“The painters in the street” invested the Square Henryot, Sunday August 17 and, nearly thirty painters or sculptors were able to give free rein to their inspiration in front of an ever more numerous audience.

From 9 a.m., the stands and easels were already in place on the Henryot square. Each of the 27 artists who made the trip to Langres, could thus be placed in the shade of the trees in order to install all their equipment and seek inspiration. And the magnificent setting of this square did not fail to seduce the painters or sculptors who decided to respond to the invitation of the Fayl palette, an association which organizes “The painters in the street”.

Each artist was able to find his place on the Henryot square to give free rein to his inspiration.

Once well in place, the artists were able to give free rein to their inspiration of the moment since, as Paul Peigney, president of the Fayl palette recalled, no more theme is imposed for this annual day, dedicated to art and always very popular.

Art freely

“There is no longer any theme or competition because it is not always easy to find a impartial jury. And then that gives way to conviviality. The public can come to see the artists in full creation and exchange with them on their art, even buy them paintings. Besides, a lot of paintings have sold, so everyone can be happy with this day, ”says Paul Peigpey. And, judging by the crowd, the formula works very well.

All day long, visitors came to stroll on the Henryot square admire the works of these artists. Accustomed to the event, Gérard Romero and his coffee painting did not fail to attract curiosity just like Sycha, Langroise sculptor. Everyone was able to take the time of this beautiful summer day dedicated to art and even get the portrait, just to keep a little memory.
